Not Panicking

I am not panicking. Nope, Not at all.

But I am beginning to wonder what I was thinking when I decided to work full-time and plan my cross-continent relocation at the same time. There is a lot to do and I am honestly very tired – most (if not all) of the time! Read the rest of this entry »

Happy New Year!!! And round two help :)

Congrats everyone!!! We’re in the year when most of us will be resuming at Business schools 🙂

This is going to be very brief but I know it’ll help someone. This post is specifically for round two applicants yet to submit. Two things I want to say:

  • The entire application matters. Looking back at my applications, I realize that there are a lot of things my essays did not address but I see them addressed in other parts of my submission. So take the time to read through the online application, your resume and your essays. Don’t take any one piece for granted.

Minor Updates, practice questions & Interview with Accepted

My Booth interview has been setup for next week Tuesday and my interviewer is not the famous Lady A that did my first interview. I realised I did not include that in my last post. My application matrix contains all the goals, attributes and personality traits that I plan to show the admissions committee as well as all the different aspects of application process. It looks like this Read the rest of this entry »

2015 MBA round 1 applications: My Approach part 1

It takes a serious approach to get a glorious result

That is what one of my mentors always says and judging from his results, I’ll say he’s right. I have decided to manage my applications, the way I manage projects on my job – with one exception, Read the rest of this entry »

GMAT

If only standardized exams were not required for MBA admission then I wouldn’t have had to write this post. As you may have guessed from my first statement, I don’t like exams. So, I am biased when I say that writing the GMAT is one thing I am glad I don’t have to deal with again. Now that I’ve said that, let me also confess that I had to write it twice.  And still didn’t reach my target score.

I have a lot of excuses and reasons why I flunked. But that’s not why we’re here. Let me give you some advice I wish I’d received before I wrote my GMAT; Read the rest of this entry »
