We all get those days when nothing goes according to plan. And its normal, even expected but when you have three of such days; back-to-back, you get worried.

Its been a while 🙂
In the period since my last post (sans the financing my MBA post), I have resigned my job, obtained my visa, booked my flight home (I’ve got some free time to spend with the family) booked my flight to Chicago and finalized my living arrangements. I’m going to give a brief description of the Visa process & apartment hunting (it may not be useful to some) but …
First off I’d like to wish all round two applicants the very best of luck in their applications. Hope you get into your dream schools.
Since my admission to Booth, I have being immersed in the Booth culture and I can say that I did not make a mistake in my initial analysis. Also, I am now much more certain that I can flourish in that environment. I have also noted that I am not as open to change as I thought I was. I know I will be going to business school this fall but I’m not as elated about it as I should be and this has nothing to do with the school I got into (which is a great school).
I will be leaving my home, my job, my friends. Everything that is familiar to me. As much as I’m excited, I’m scared out of my wits. And that is the reason why my mind keeps wandering; developing a pro/con list based on the things that I love and the things I don’t Read the rest of this entry »

I’ll be under my blanket crying my heart out. Just got a ding from Stanford. I’m entirely and utterly confused. So I’m going to go through the motions of work today ill I can crawl under my blanket and sleep for at least 12 hours straight.
This was not supposed to happen. Now I’ve got to go through the entire process for round 2. 50% is not enough to put my entire faith on for this round.
I am still waiting for my invitation to interview at Stanford GSB. Yes, I’m aware that it’s just two days to go till the window closes but you’re talking to the lady who got her Booth invite on the last day and her Sloan invite on the day before the last. I’m not giving up hope! I can’t!In my mind, I’m a member of Stanford MBA class of 2017, have been since August 1, 2014 and I don’t foresee any changes to that. Read the rest of this entry »
